OK, the walls are up and cured, the gravel base is in place. We got some rain last night - no problem. Dan has a sump pump that will take care of the water.
Cement truck is here - ready to start!
First, we have to form a big step as a transition from the old basement (7 foot ceilings) to the new basement.

Step is complete....
Now, for the grunt work - cement is loaded into wheelbarrows, rolled to the far corner and dumped.
Meg is very interested in it all...
The first wheel barrow or two has been dumped.....lots of basement left to do.
And it grows.....
Meanwhile, out front, the floor joist beams have arrived.
